Being a mum and also pregnant and also a teeny bit averse to making actual recipes that involve more than two steps in the instructions, I am always
excited ecstatic to discover wild food that I can buy online.
Some foragers think that this defeats the purpose (and pleasure) of foraging but I disagree. Don’t get me wrong, I do love foraging. You can’t beat the thrill of finding a new plant and being outdoors and the fun derived from making a meal out of food you gathered yourself. However, what’s important to me is that I’m upping my intake of wild food, nourishing my body with plant DNA not found in our modern diets.
Further, when you buy pre-made foraged fayre you’re supporting local businesses and lovely people who are paying their bills doing something they love and are very good at.

I used the spiced rosehip syrup on a lovely sea buckthorn and pomegranate salad. Voila.
